Vision- NABI “Chasing the Sun” 10K & Pow Wow is a Native American themed event celebrating Native America, the people, culture and traditions, with an emphasis on encouraging health & wellness among Native American communities. The general public is encouraged & welcomed to join, participate and celebrate!

 

10K Dates-
• Thursday, April 30, 2009 – 10K Registration 4 - 9 pm
• Friday, May 1, 2009 – 10K Registration 10 am – 9 pm
• Saturday, May 2, 2009 – 10K begins at Sunrise
• Saturday, May 2, 2009 – 1 Mile Health Walk / Run begins at 7:30 am

 

Pow Wow Dates-
• Saturday May 2, 2009 – Pow Wow Grand Entry 10:00 am
• Sunday, May 3, 2009 – Pow Wow 10 am – 6 pm

10K Participants Receive-
T- Shirt & Saturday Pow Wow admission

10K Winners Receive- 10K $500 (Male & Female)

Pow Wow Admission- $10.00 each day. Children 6 & under free.

• 1 Mile Health Walk/Run- Saturday, May 2, 7:30 am
FREE event!!! Health Walk/Run is to promote and inspire the importance of exercising as part of your daily life. Families, groups and individuals of all ages encouraged to participate.

• 10K Mile Markers Featuring-Native American Entertainment-
Saturday, May 2, Sunrise-10 am.

• Corporate Expo-
Featuring Tribal and Corporate Sponsors
Open to 10K participants on Thursday and Friday
General Public on Saturday and Sunday
Located on the perimeter of the UOP Stadium

• Health Expo-
Featuring up to 75 health-related businesses and organizations.
Open to 10K participants on Thursday and Friday
General public on Saturday and Sunday.

Wheelchairs and strollers ONLY will be allowed. No bikes, rollerblades and skateboards of any kind will be permitted.
