"Upon walking into US Airways Center and seeing the NABI banner hanging next to the WNBA World Champions Phoenix Mercury and the NBA Phoenix Suns banners; I finally had my moment. I stood there and stared at the banner…..the images of our Native athletes and how big the banner was…..it is a moment that will stay with me forever. After 6 long years, all the hard work WE (sponsoring tribes and corporations, NABI teams, NABI volunteers, NABI staff and the many NABI friends) put into NABI". “It doesn’t get any bigger than this!”

Gina Marie Scarpa, Managing Partner

NABI is going into our 6th year, we gained NCAA certification in 2007 becoming the first all Native High School basketball tournament certified by the NCAA! This was monumental because the NCAA recognized “tribe sovereignty” and made an exception to the “adjoining state” rule for ALL tribal tournaments. Our 2003 NABI MVP signed pro with Spain and we continue to create endless opportunities for our athletes to receive college scholarships and financial aid. This summer we will have 80 teams competing for the NABI title (from as far away as Alaska and Canada) and will be receiving exposure to college scouts and coaches. Thank you for all your support. We look forward to sharing another incredible tournament with you!

See you at the games!!
