WHAT: “6th Annual Native American Basketball
Invitational”
NABI is the largest NCAA certified all Native American Basketball tournament
comprised of high school athletes; competing for the 2008 NABI Championship
title and exposure to college scouts in the world! NABI Championship
games are played on an official NBA & WNBA court, the home of the
Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury, US Airways Center.

FEES & REQUIREMENTS:
• Acceptance is by invitation only once NABI receives application.
• All Coaches must be NCAA certified and agree to following NCAA
certified event rules & regulations.
• $500 Non-refundable Registration Fee (U.S Currency)
per team, team information form and team uniform sizes are due upon submission of application.
No application will be accepted without the fees and uniform sizes.
• Registration opens Jan 1, 2008. Application, uniforms sizes,
Team information form and registration fees must be submitted together.
Any application and/or fees postmarked prior to January 1, 2008 will
be returned.
• Uniform fee: $75 (U.S Currency) per player ($40 Jersey/$25shorts/gym
sack $10)
• Coach fee: $45 per coach
• Uniform fees and Coach fees must be postmarked by April 1, 2008
• Teams are not secured until all team fees, uniform fees and
coach fees are paid in full and team receive an official invitation
letter. If team is not accepted all fees will be refunded. If team is
accepted then the non-refundable registration applies.
• Minimum 8, Maximum 13 players per team. Players must
be enrolled and/or graduated high school and cannot exceed the age of
19 years old or play basketball for ANY college. No graduating 8th graders.
Players must prove Native blood via CIB or tribal membership.
• NABI not responsible for players jumping teams
• Minimum 1, Maximum 2 coaches per team.
• Registration closes when 64 teams (32 Boys & 32 Girls) are
secured and/or on April 1, 2008.
• Benefits include:
- 3 games guaranteed per team. A “win”
due to a team “no show” is considered a guaranteed game.
- Access to all NABI games and NABI related
events
- Final Four teams in both divisions to play
at the U. S Airways Center, home of the Phoenix Suns & Phoenix
Mercury.
- NABI 2008 t-shirts (1 per player & coach).
Participation trophy (1 per team)
Teams must submit a completed and signed application, team information form, uniform
sizes and their $500 non-refundable registration fee. No
teams will be invited without submitting their $500 registration fee
with their completed application. All the above must be mailed. NO faxes
or emails will be accepted. Remainder of team & coach
uniforms fees must be post marked by April 1, 2008.
NO refunds on registration fees or uniform fees once team is invited.
If the tournament is full at the time we receive your application &
registration fees, you may request to have your team put on the 2008
Waiting List. If a slot becomes available the remainder of your team
fees must be paid within 10 business days of acceptance. If a slot does
not become available your $500 deposit will be completely refunded.
*Forms of payment must be cashiers check, money order or checks
from tribal council and/or business sponsors ONLY!! No personal checks
or post dated checks accepted. If a personal check is sent with application,
